About Us
Cospire is a knowlede management (KM) system that implements 2nd generational KM concepts into a web application environment. Unlike most solutions for sharing knowledge that are one-dimensional such as wikis, forums, and document management systems, we wanted to blend multiple technologies together to create an application that would really faciliate knowledge sharing in an online, asynchronous environment. By coupling the features of wikis, forums, DMSs and social sites together, we developed a solution we feel truly will motivate people to not only share knowledge, but create and improve knowledge as well.

We started three years building the concepts behind Cospire. It started out in the minds of two people. One of us needed a solution for managing knowledge in the work environment, the other needed a good in his computer science course. The result was Cospire. Our goal was to make Cospire work well for organizations to encourage knowledge creation and sharing within an organizational unit.

Today Cospire is well alive and working well for many groups online today. We hope to release the source code to the public for non-profit use soon. We also hope to still improve Cospire and add additional functionality to the system. Please contact us with any feedback or questions you may have.

Better Organization

Cospire.com goes above and beyond the call of duty as a wiki. Traditional wikis are limited and work on a simple graphed linking system. Cospire.com takes this concept to the next level with category-based organization for better management of knowledge, while still allowing inter-linking between pages. Our users find categorical organization to be easier, more flexible and faster. Plus no need to frat with 20GB of storage per community!

Meta Linking
A link alone is not worth much. Cospire.com lets you attach meta data to any internal or external links to give the link context within the page. This information is harvest and summarized on each page for each link management. No need to create your "see also" section. Cospire.com does it all for you!

A Focus on Feedback

Unlike most wikis, Cospire.com offers many feedback mechanisms to promote evolution of pages (AKA knowledge objects ( KOs)). We offer star ratings, contextual annotations, annotation ratings and statistical feedback all to monitor and gage the quality of pages ( KOs) within your community. These concepts made big sites like amazon.com and netflix.com what they are today.

Powerful, Smart Searching

Additional, Cospire.com uses a cutting edge feedback-based search engined based on what we call the EvoMantics Engine. Unless most search engines

which are based on word proximity and frequency, EvoMantics records every users experience with pages and uses this feedback to determine what is considered to be a relevant result. 18 factors determine the results on a search, and only three of those are based on search phrase relevance.

An Emphasis on Authors

The key to getting an organization to share and contribute knowledge is giving knowledge producers credit for what they contribute to the knowledge community. Cospire.com presents the author of pages (knowledge object) in a gratifying, motivating way. Each member gets their EvoScore which is based on how well they perform against other contributors in the system. This score is complex and based on their overall input and actions. Additionally, each page is branded with the author's avatar and username to give them a sense of authorship. Without the people, wikis are nothing, so give the people the credit they deserve!

Flexible global and page level permissions

Cospire.com lets you change the permission level of your community as a whole any time. Switch between public, protected and private models based on how you want people to access your community. Also, individual pages ( KOs) can be given permissions based on member level and specific members.

Don't think it ends here...

Cospire.com has many other cool and innovative features. From fast and efficent Web 2.0 page creation, powerful inter-linking and flexible invitation and member management controls, we are sure you'll fall in love with Cospire.com in now time! Don't believe us? Just try it.
